Moorage Information

Moorage  is available to   association members who are in good standing and own approved property within the Dixie Bend area as defined in the Dixie Bend Association Bylaws.

An annual fee for a boat slip is from January 1 to December 31, of the calendar year.  Boat owners are responsible for renewing their slip/waiting list spot and paying the fee by March 1st each year.

All-Terrain vehicles (ATV), including utility vehicle, dirt bikes, golf-carts and/or go-carts

Dixie Bend Retreat private roads and property in the area covered per Kentucky Revised Statutes Title XVI. Motor Vehicles § 189.515. Restrictions on operation of all-terrain vehicles.

What is the Minimum Age to Operate an ATV in Kentucky?
 § 189.515 Kentucky lawmakers do not limit the age at which an ATV may be operated, but they do limit the engine displacement. Minors under the age of 12 may not operate an ATV with an engine displacement which exceeds 70cc, and minors under the age of 16 may not operate an ATV over 90cc. All minors under 16 must also have parental supervision while riding

Can I Drive my ATV on Public Roads or Private Roads in Kentucky?
 § 189.515  Kentucky law prohibits the use of ATVs on public roads however they do allow for cities or townships to enact their own laws which allow the use of ATVs on certain roads. A person shall not operate an all-terrain vehicle on private property without the consent of the landowner, tenant, or individual responsible for the property. Dixie Bend’s roads are private property considered member-owned.

ATV, dirt bikes, golf-carts and go-cart Guidelines

  1. No driving under the influence
  2. Drivers must be 16 years of age
  3. Safety flag must be mounted on all ATVs, Side by Sides, and golf carts
  4. Motor Vehicle – please be aware at all times adn observe the 15 MPH speed limit
  5. Headlights must be onfrom dust ot dawn
  6. Per the Army Corpd of Engineers, the areas beyond the concrete post are off limits to motorizied vehicles of ALl kinds
  7. Respect your neighbors. Afer hours please be considerate and obey our mightnight curfew
